JOELLE TALMASSE lived in New York for 7 years, developing a passion and desire to create great art . Joelle based her designs on discarded objects that she found on the streets, in markets or trash bins.
Joelle gave new life to these objects, by up-cycling, and creating desirable unique contemporary pieces. Joelle has also collaborated on projects for The Walker Group Designs and I M Pei Architects New York.
MARTYN GAYLE comes from a fashion and music background. Over the years he has created and collaborated on various high profile projects, for a variety of magazines, such as Vogue, Elle, ID and Arena.
Martyn feels very much at home when he is experimenting with different materials and fabrics. He loves nothing more than distressing various textiles, such as leather and denim.
Joelle and Martyn joined forces to put their diverse skills together, creating unique, individual art pieces. Their trademark 'do it yourself' rock 'n' roll attitude, is very visible in their work, which includes a mix of contemporary and re-cycled elements.
Joelle and Martyn have exhibited at major trade fairs such as Maison & Objet , and have exclusively created a line of furniture for the Danish multi national sofa bed company Innovation Living.
